Vein Disease Treatment
Vein disease treatment options range from conservative to minimally invasive to surgery. Our training and years of experience give us the unique capability of diagnosing and treating vein conditions, their associated symptoms, and coexisting skin conditions. We take great pride in our work and our results are second to none.
Your first appointment always begins with a consult with Dr. Darling who is a specialty trained and triple board-certified vein physician. Dr. Darling may then recommend an ultrasound exam in our comfortable, accredited, and fully equipped vascular diagnostic lab. The results of the imaging study are analyzed and a map of your venous system is then explained to you in detail with options for treatment of your condition. Your treatment plan could include at least one of the following minimally invasive procedures:
- Endovenous Ablation
- Microphlebectomy
- Sclerotherapy
- Compression Therapy
- High Ligation
We also diagnose venous disease in the abdomen and pelvis, including:
- Pelvic congestion syndrome/ovarian vein reflux
- Scrotal varicose veins (varicocele)
- May-Thurner Syndrome or IVCS (Iliac Vein Compression Syndrome)
Preparing For Your Vein Disease Treatment
Our friendly staff will explain what you need to do before your treatment. Your experience at our clinic is important and we value the opportunity to explain what to expect. We welcome your questions.
What to Expect After Your Vein Disease Treatment
Rarely, treated veins occasionally reopen or new veins can develop over time, therefore follow-up appointments are important. Your first follow-up is usually one to seven days after your treatment. A follow-up ultrasound scan verifies the treated vein(s) are closed and checks for any complications. Bring your compression garments to every follow-up visit (scheduled at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year).
